New book -
Beginning Oracle Application Express

Have you just started with Oracle Application Express (APEX) or do you want to know more about it before you have a closer look? Have a look at the newly released book Beginning Oracle Application Express (Wrox Programmer to Programmer) by Rick Greenwald. I just ordered my copy to have a look if I can recommend it to new colleagues who start with Oracle APEX in our company.

It’s always good to see that more and more Oracle APEX related books are coming out. If you have already worked with Oracle APEX, I can highly recommend John Scott’s book Pro Oracle Application Express!

On David Peake’s blog I read that Douwe Pieter van den Bos is writing a book about Forms Conversion to Oracle APEX. I think that’s a highly interesting topic, because there are so many Oracle Forms developers out there where Oracle APEX could be a perfect match for them.

Do you want to contribute to an Oracle APEX book?

Pakt Publishing is seeking for authors. If you have ever wanted to be part of writing a book, then here is your big chance! Get in contact with James Lumsden [jamesl@packtpub.com] from Pakt Publishing.

  1. I had a look in a bookshop (quaint concept). Its very much pitched at the ‘Moving up from Access’ market.

  2. Gary,
You are somewhat correct. This book is aimed squarely at those with limited experience building Web applications. Developers / power users who use Access are therefore prime candidates.

    Regards,
    David
