Check out the Oracle APEX 4.0 Keynote!

Do you want to know more about the Oracle Application Express (APEX) roadmap? Then you have to check out the Oracle APEX 4.0 keynote performed my Mike Hichwa at the ODTUG Kaleidoscope 2009 conference. The ODTUG folks have recorded the session and it’s now available as a podcast.

That’s the ideal opportunity  for all of you who haven’t been able to attend the conference to get more info about the next release of APEX. The keynote highlights the different areas and features we are currently working on.

Too bad that the quality of the screen recording of the demos isn’t very well and the audio is a little bit out of sync with the video (a few seconds). Never the less the recording still gives you a good overview of some of the planned 4.0 features. BTW, I’m planning to blog more details about some of the features in the next few weeks, like the new extension architecture “Plug-ins” which I’m currently working on. So stay tuned!     I’m pretty sure that some of the features of the ApexLib Framework will make it into APEX 4.0 🙂

    Does Apex 3.2 version support apexlib1.6?
    We were able to do the cascading of LOV’s in 3.1 with the help of your apexlib?
    But after upgrading to 3.2,cascading of LOV’s is not working.
    Can you tell us what could be problem?

  5. Hi Kanat,

    yes ApexLib 1.6 supports APEX 3.2. Have to run the page in debug mode? Does it show if it has detected the cascading LOV? Another issue could be if you have used my replacement of V and NV that you are still pointing to the old FLOWS_030100 schema.
