My name is Patrick Wolf and I’m a software developer working for Oracle. In February 2009 in joined the Server Technologies development group, specifically Database Tools as Principal Member of Technical Staff for Oracle Application Express. In other words – I’m an Oracle APEX core developer!

Hobby and Profession
Working since 1993 with Oracle products, mainly with the database itself, Oracle APEX, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, SQL and PL/SQL allowed me to get a comprehensive knowledge about Oracle related technologies. In 2007 I became an Oracle ACE Director and was also awarded with the Oracle Magazine’s Editors choice award Oracle Application Express Developer of the Year 2007.
Beside running this blog I have started three open source projects related to Oracle APEX. ApexLib, a Development Framework which can be used in any APEX application, the Oracle APEX Builder Plugin, which adds more usability and productivity to the Oracle APEX Builder and Oracle APEX Essentials. Why this Blog?
This site is dedicated to helping other Oracle developers to learn more about Oracle Application Express (APEX) and keep them up-to-date what’s going on around this great tool for developing database driven web applications. But this site is not just focused on Oracle APEX itself, you will also read a lot of tips & tricks about Oracle Database development too.
I started this blog in November 2006 mainly because I thought it’s a good way to get in touch with the Oracle APEX community. Since then I have added well over 250 articles, tips, news, … to my archives here. Have a look at the Overview page to get a quick overview about what I have written so far.
